I am just blown away by the incredible-ness (yep, just made that word up) of my 2012 couples. I am blessed with some of the most fun, beautiful, genuine, and totally in love couples this year! I cannot tell you how excited I was to get a call from Angie, asking me to photograph her absolutely DARLING newborn baby girls! You never know what will happen in a newborn shoot! I was expecting sleepy, snuggly babies, and came to find feisty, sweet little girls who had no intention of laying on their tummies! Baby Alexa was awake the whole 2 hours I was there! I LOVED holding these two little Sweethearts and I am so happy for their wonderful Mommy & Daddy. Whats even better is that I get to watch these little girls grow throughout the year, so you can keep your eyes out for their 3,6,9 month and birthday shoot to come this year! Can I tell you how much I LOVE weddings?!? Especially when two absolutely incredible people like Val & Eric are getting married. These two are amazing. With the help of family and friends they planned the wedding from Texas. Val was stunningly gorgeous....and I know Eric thought so too! They are super in love, had perfect weather, a really great bridal party, loving family, FUN reception & an all around beautiful wedding. Meet Laura & Jared! These two are too cute. :) We drove all the way to Stony Brook for their wet, freezing, fun, and completely awesome e-shoot! Laura was an awesome sport and even rocked tights under her jeans to keep warm! It was super slippery, we all almost bit it at least once. (yep, picture me ever so gracefully sprawled out on a wet bridge...but at least only one random hiker lady saw...and the camera was safely held above my head!) But it was SO worth it. This handsome guy is my little Brother. With the craziness of business, it makes me really sad that I end up pushing back working on photos for MY family...so it's taken me a while...but here are some Sneak Peeks! It was HOT that day...like sweat through your clothes, too bright to take off your sunglasses hot. (Good thing he has some sweet shades!) Not an ideal day for photos. Dan and Erin had an incredible wedding day. TONS of highs and a few lows (the nasty weather that forced the ceremony inside)..but they didn't let that little hiccup ruin the incredible fun of their day. This group laughed all day long...I LOVED it. Erin was absolutely gorgeous. They had a sweet and simple fall themed day and we were blessed with some nice weather after the ceremony for the photos. This handsome senior chose to be a little adventurous and use my "experimental" spot in Bergen that I was so excited about. I definitely think it worked! Train tracks are just so cool. We were setting up on the tracks, when a train started to come. So we had to move off the tracks and wait for the train to go by...so we took advantage and got a couple sweet shots! Miracle Baby Jacob! 8 weeks

Remember that sweet newborn I photographed at Strong Memorial before he went into open heart surgery? (if you don't, see the post here: http://selahimages.blogspot.com/2011/08/special-blessing.html ). Just a few short weeks ago we were praying and believing God that his Mom & Dad would be bringing him home from the hospital...and here he is at 8 weeks old, strong, healthy and with a TON of personality!!! :) It was so great to see this little guy again. Fitness photos are not something that I really have done before...but when I got the call from Stefanie, asking me to take some "after" photos for a competition she was in, I was super excited! Neither of us had done professional fitness photos before, so we just got creative and had a great time. (even if we did get PAM spray everywhere!) We took the necessary images for the competition...then, since she's in the best shape of her life, we had some fun and got some really great images. This handsome guy is Adam. Adam is an amazing guy and my little brother's best friend. I was SO excited when he asked me to take his senior portraits. We had a blast here at the studio and then in the Village of Brockport. (mmmm... then we had pizza at Main St Pizza- definitely recommend them).

The Wolcott Family ~ Brockport Family Photos

I met Doug in the Clarkson Post Office a few weeks before Christmas. I came staggering in with a giant box full of little boxes. This great guy was in front of me, and we got to chatting. Inside that box were Christmas presents for all of my 2010 wedding clients. Hearing that I was a photographer, he immediately began to tell me all about his amazing family and how he didn't get to see them as much as he'd like, since they live out of state. It wasn't long after that I got a phone call scheduling this photo shoot for months later, when his family would all be in town. It was a great privilege to photograph this beautiful family. A Special Blessing

Last night I had an incredible privilege. I went out to Strong Memorial to photograph Jason & Julie's absolutely adorable little baby boy, Jacob.The little guy is having open heart surgery right now, and we've been praying for that sweet newborn all day. Let me tell you, he is just the cutest little guy I've ever seen!

As a photographer, this is what it's all about. Capturing life in it's highs and lows. Immortalizing sweet memories so that people can relive those emotions in years to come. It is such an amazing privilege.

I got there at the tail end of visiting hours, and I'm so thankful that the nurses didn't kick me out. That extra grace was SO nice. It was dark so I brought along one small light source.

I photographed Jason & Julie's wedding, then when they found out they were pregnant they signed up for my Belly to Birthday package...so I'm going to get to photograph this little guy as he grows! I'm so excited for this little guy to come home so we can do some natural light photos at his own house! :)

So...say a prayer for Jacob and for his Mommy & Daddy. Join me in praying for a successful surgery, for wisdom for the doctors, for a quick and complete recovery, and for peace and grace for Julie & Jason.
